Justrite® 2 Inch Safety Drum Vent - Horizontal

This all brass 2 inch horizontal vent is ideal for use with petroleum based chemicals. It threads into the 2 inch NPS bung opening of drums stored horizontally. Lift the spring loaded knurled knob and turn to set it to open to vent pressure build-up and to relieve vacuum when draining drums.

• Manual venting
• Built-in brass flame arrestor
• 2 inch male threads fit 2 inch NPS bung openings

Note: To prevent evaporation of the product contained in the drum, it is advisable not to leave the vent open for an extended period of time.

Caution: Drums of flammable liquids exposed to heat or fire will build-up a dangerous amount of pressure.

In the event of a fire or exposure to excessive heat, an emergency vent (center disc) will detach from the center of the vent to prevent the drum from rupturing and fueling the fire. Additionally, a built-in brass flame arrestor prevents “flashback” ignition of the vented vapor to the drum contents.
