The reinforced nylon construction provides a dependable seal during normal use, while the center melts under extreme heat to vent gases and help reduce the risk of explosion. Precision injection molding ensures a leak-tight fit in steel drums with octagonal-base bung openings. The plug includes an irradiated polyethylene gasket that offers strong chemical resistance and improved temperature tolerance.
