The single action drum vent plug (pressure relief plug) prevents dangerous pressure in steel drums being transported or stored in an upright position (not intended for horizontal storage) by venting or pushing pressurre out.
- Spring loaded ball bearing opens at 1/2 to 1 1/2 psi
- Ball bearing operation is designed, when the pressure builds up, for the ball bearing to push upwards and let the pressure escape
