Plastic Drums

These are the containers that are used to store hazardous or non-hazardous liquid products. They can hold up to 55 gallons of these liquids, and a minimum quantity of 15 gallons. Most plastic drums that are used for industrial purposes are made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene).

Plastic Drums are further divided into two parts: open headed and tight headed.

What sets them apart from each other?

Closed head drums are for water and other liquid products. Open head drums can be used for liquid too, but are primarily for dry products.

The open head (or open top with a lid) allows you to get in and out of the drum with your product easier. They are manufactured by a process commonly known as blow molding and are available in different sizes viz. 15, 30 and 55 gallons.

Steel Drums

Drums of this sort are typically used to contain hazardous materials. They are the most durable type of containers and ensure maximum protection, which makes them really safe to use. They can hold up to 66 gallons of material.

Salvage Drums

These drums are designed to contain packages of hazardous materials that are damaged, defective, or found leaking. Salvage drums are a key component of any oil spill protection  They can hold up to 119 gallons of liquid.

Pail

It is a type of container which is mainly used in the shipping industry. They have a capacity of about 1 to 12 gallons. They are made of steel, aluminum, fiber, tinplate, paperboard and plastic. Pails are used for a variety of fluids and flow able materials such as paint.

Fiber Drums

Fiber drums are mainly used to fulfill various packaging requirements, whether the use is for the chemical, pharmaceutical, glue, paint or food industry. They are known to be highly durable. There are two types of fiber drums: Lock-rim and All-fiber. They can hold up to 66 gallons of liquid or any other material.

Lock-Rim Fiber Drums

The lock-rim fiber drums have greater strength than an all-fiber drum. They are an excellent solution for the containment and transportation of a variety of materials, which may be dry, solid, or liquid.

All-Fiber Drums

The all-fiber drums are an excellent solution for the containment and storage of dry or solid materials. They reduce waste, are cost effective, and available in a wide variety of dimensions. They can be easily opened and closed, allowing for quick and efficient filling and dispensing.
