Justrite® Type II AccuFlow™ DOT Compliant Steel Safety Cans 5 Gallon

Justrite® Type II Dot safety cans are compliant with the Department of Transportation's regulations for over-the-road transport of flammables. The AccuFlow™ safety can is ideal for gas-fueled equipment.

To prevent vapor release and spills during transport, a hold down bracket is connected to the spout and equipped with an easy to grasp tightening screw. A fusible link bracket is easy to engage and guards against content spillage and vapor release as required by D.O.T. The fusible link melts at 165° F preventing dangerous pressure buildup at elevated temperatures. The fusible link can be disengaged and used as a standard safety can (should not be used for transport fuel when disengaged).

The AccuFlow™ safety can features a Safe-Squeeze® trigger mechanism that opens the piston actuated spout and vacuum-release valve for accurate pouring. Releasing the handle closes the valve and guards against spills.

Safety features include an internal flame arrester to prevent flashback ignition, a leak-tight, self-closing lid automatically venting between 3 and 5 psig, and heavy-duty roll bars to protect the fill and pour mechanisms from damage.

The Type II AccuFlow™ safety can meets D.O.T. and HM-181 requirements, the UN rating is 1A1/Y1.2/100.
